He served with the E. H. Stokes Fire Company for 60 years.

Mike, at the Annual Saturn Drive Baptist Church Fish Fry. Delicious!  Lorenda Patterson, one of my twitter followers, invited me.I am chatting with Martha and Sam at the Fish Fry. They've been married for 63 years. Sam celebrated his 87th birthday on Sept 30th. They are really fun!Lorenda with me at the Fish Fry.Jerry, from the REI in Brentwood, personally helped me out with a pack cover. It'll be keeping my things and me dry this winter.Aaron, Amanda and Michelle from the Waffle House in Lebanon. They shared a delicious pecan waffle and stuffed hashbrowns with me for dinner. As I walked by this gazebo it looked so inviting and pretty I stopped and sat in it, took pictures, etc............I was watching two ladies picking up walnuts and after about 10 minutes I wondered over and asked them what the name of the park was....... ........They laughed and one of them said,  "This is our yard."    Imagine having a yard that looks like this!

My ONE YEAR anniversary!
Puleo's Grille provided my one year anniversary meal, Fried Green Tomatoes with Cheese Corn Grits.  It was scrumptious!  Executive Chef, Steve Puleo and General Manager, Mike Hall, made sure it was a memorable experience.  Carolyn Critcher joined me for dinner.  It made my one year anniversary on the road very special.

Owners of Poor Boys Market and Deli on Hwy 11 walking to Jefferson City.  They gave me food to help me along my way, very generous folks.Will, Jim, Eric, Matt & Chris from the Jefferson City Fire Department my hosts tonight. They served a great dinner oven-roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and corn bread.  Just as they were ready to eat they got a call.  Isn't that the way it always goes...Jefferson City to MorristownMorristown fire fighters.  They have been helping me out for two days with rides and supplies.  They reached out to help me without hesitation.
